The story is predictable, but that doesn't stop Wrangling the Cowboy from being entertaining. I wished it were longer, so that there could be more character development and we could explore Asher and Clara's relationship more.The book is a novella, not a novel. The formatting causes the titled book and the bonus stories to be longer. The font is roughly twice the size of the font seen in other books. There are a few editing mistakes. At least twice, the author or editor left footnotes from the editing process in the middle of a paragraph.
Overall, I liked the book and would be willing to read more of Sullivan's work.

One of my favorite things to read are short stories! All of these stories were well done!! You won't regret reading any of them! Enjoy!!
This book is a multitude of short stories. The stories were okay, but they are rushed and incomplete...It left me scratching my head wondering what did I miss? There is also two excerpts at the end of the book as well.
What a sweet read with a great storyline and the character development just hooks you in from the very beginning and keeps you totally enthralled until the very end! I look forward to reading more from Piper Sullivan!

This was a sweet story about a young woman who didn't have a lot of confidence in her work skills. She hire on to a ranch as a temporary cook and housekeeper. Soon after she starts an intimate relationship with her employer. There are issues as the relationship progresses and she falls in love with him. The story continues on and it seems they won't get a happy ending but it ends fairly well. The ending seemed a little abrupt but the author includes an epilogue so we get to see what happens with these two.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Clara Bloom is a 23 year old chef that doesn't have to much luck on securing employment. Asher Hawthorne was a investment banker turned cowboy after leaving the city life. Clara took the temporary job as chef/ housekeeper for Asher Hawthorne. There's chemistry between Clara and Asher but Asher is determined to ignore it because from bad experiences that hurt him and he thinks that all women are the same like his ex-wife . Does Asher over come his doubts and give the relationship a go between him and Clara. Does Clara stay with Asher or after the time up leave to pursue a job being a chef . I would recommend this book to my family and friends.
Clara didn't know what she was getting into when you applied for a job as a cook/housekeeper with she arrived at Asher ranch. Clara wanted to work as a star chef in NY but she had no success when she went to all of her interviews. A girl from Georgia wanted to try her hands in the big city but due to her failure she ended up on a ranch big the sexy ranch owner Asher the cowboy with an attitude. Clara was a great cook and housekeeper for the ranch hands and they boasted about her cooking. Asher was afraid of all women after his city wife left him because she hated ranch life and he knew that this big curvy size 20 Clara desired to go to the city,however,a but of attraction developed between Clara and Asher and to his surprise she was also a virgin.
While I enjoyed the characters and the plot, there were some words missing. It needed further editing. I would have to re-read the section a couple of time to understand the what the missing words were. That is the only reason not not getting five stars. The story made for a great quick read.
My edition also came with additional stories which were also enjoyable. They too needed additional editing because of missing words. I would recommend this book because the stories were wonderful to read.
